Exhibits in the Art Gallery, BRCC Fine Arts Center

 The BRCC Art Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and hosts a variety of student and community exhibits throughout the year.�

Super Silly Family Fun Fest!

Barbara Spilman Lawson’s musical storytelling style is high-energy, wacky, wild, hilarious, interactive, exciting…and just plain fun.  This action-packed program entertains pre-school children through adults. So, Mom and Dad, pack up the kids, grandma, grandpa - and a few cousins for good measure - to launch a fun-filled summer! Magic and Illusion Show

Magic is more than simply pulling a rabbit out of a hat.  Wes Iseli’s illusion show features an array of “how does he do that?” tricks, including the amazing newspaper headline prediction. Recycling Paper on Campus

You may not be aware but several students – members of our new Environmental Club - are making an effort to recycle paper. Daily, they’re collecting paper from the beige crates around campus and taking it to local collection stations.

BRCC’s Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) wins International Awards

At the 90th International Phi Theta Kappa Convention held in conjunction with the American Association of Community Colleges in Philadelphia this past weekend, Blue Ridge’s Alpha Xi Xi Chapter was once again named in the top 100 chapters of more than 1500 chapters worldwide.  In addition, the chapter received the coveted Scholarship Hallmark award and was the only chapter in Virginia to receive an award for any of the Society’s hallmarks (Scholarship, leadership, service). Our Vice President of Leadership, Derick Arbaugh, received the award for Distinguished Officer, an award given to the top 30 officers in the world!

BRCC Team wins Programming Competition at Radford

BRCC students Jason Lantz and Joseph Hill teamed up to win a programming competition at Radford University Saturday. The two students, currently taking ITP 220 (Java II) at BRCC, beat teams from New River CC and Tidewater CC, as well as high school teams and students from Radford. They solved 5 of 8 problems in the 3 hour event. They each win a $1000 scholarship to Radford. Continue »
