From your My BRCC menu tools, click the Blackboard link to open.

You will see your courses listed in the “My Blackboard Courses” module.

Blackboard Courses

We can’t tell you exactly what your course will look like because instructors customize their courses with menu items, colors, etc., but your course menu will always appear on the left side.  Your instructor will provide an overview and syllabus for your specific course.

If you need help using a Blackboard feature, you can get help from the student help desk.  Questions about assignments, tests and other course content should go to your instructor.

Your instructor will tell you his/her preference for course communication.  If you will be using Email, the college requests that you use your VCCS Email account for security reasons.  (It also looks better to your instructor than receiving an email from “slackerdude@aol.com”).

Some instructors may use other systems instead of Blackboard.  If you haven’t received alternate instructions for accessing your course, and your course does not appear in Blackboard on the first day of the semester, please contact your instructor immediately.

Tip:

You can personalize your Blackboard colors, layout, and items that display under the BRCC tab.  Click the personalize page option.
