Transfer Opportunity
The University of Virginia offers a degree for adults who cannot attend as traditional students. The Bachelors of Interdisciplinary Studies (B.I.S.) is geared for students who have completed two years of college. UVA also has just announced a automatic transfer from the Community College but this will require a 3.4 average and 54 transferable credits, including twelve credits in science or math and competency in a foreign language. However, the financial aid can be super. UVA is offering grants (not loans) for people who qualify for financial assistance with funds that come from the University’s endowment. This is a terrific opportunity to get a four-year degree and come out without loans that must be paid back. Look into it!
