Credit by Exam Option for ITE 115

If you are in a program of study that requires ITE 115, have not previously received a grade including a “W” in the course, and believe you have the competencies required in this course, you may apply to take the credit by exam (a list of competencies may be obtained from the Houff Student Center or on this web page).  Part I of the exam is a multiple choice test that covers computer concepts. Part II, deals with MS Office 2007 applications. The exam requires you to purchase Myitlab 2007 software (approximately $75).

For more information about applying for the credit by exam, go to the Houff Student Center and ask to see a counselor.  The application for taking the test must be completed and approved by the division dean and IST program head.

**A sc0re of 75% on both parts of the exam is needed to test out of the ITE 115 course.**

Notice: The test out exam will cover Microsoft Office 2007.

Students who have previously enrolled in ITE 115 or IST 114, either at BRCC or another college, and have received a grade including a “W” are not eligible to take the exam.

In addition, there are no options for a re-test.  You may only attempt the test out exam one time.
