Important Notice
Changes for Special Admission Criteria for Recent High School Graduates
- English Requirement: Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) scores of 530+ for both reading and writing, or ACT scores of 22+ for both reading and writing, or BRCC College Preparedness Test (COMPASS) scores of 81 + for reading and 76+ for writing.
- Math Requirement: Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) score of 520+, or ACT score of 22+, or VPT Math placement test results showing completion of
MTE 1-5. Students demonstrating completion of MTE 1-5 will be exempt from taking a math course.
- Students who have completed a high school algebra course with a grade of “C” or better, but don’t test out of MTE 1-2, must take MTE 1-2 with a strong recommendation for completing MTE 3-4 as well.
- Students who have not achieved the high school algebra requirement and test into any MTE 1-5 modules, must complete the modules for which they haven’t demonstrated completion.
