			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Changes for Special Admission Criteria for Recent High School Graduates</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>English Requirement:</strong> Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) scores of 530+ for both reading and writing, or ACT scores of 22+ for both reading and writing, or BRCC College Preparedness Test (COMPASS) scores of 81 + for reading and 76+ for writing.</li>

<p>MTE 1-5.  Students demonstrating completion of MTE 1-5 will be exempt from taking a math course. </p>

<li>Students who have completed a high school algebra course with a grade of “C” or better, but don’t test out of MTE 1-2, must take MTE 1-2 with a strong recommendation for completing MTE 3-4 as well.</li>
<li>Students who have not achieved the high school algebra requirement and test into any MTE 1-5 modules, must complete the modules for which they haven’t demonstrated completion. </li>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The computerized  TEAS test, a requirement for <strong>ALL </strong>applicants to the Nursing Program, will be available in the Learning Assistance Center.     If you have completed the  ATI TEAS test for RN applicants  in the past three years prior to the application deadline with scores of 45% or higher on the math and reading sections, you are eligible to apply to the nursing program.  However, please note that successful applicants usually achieve scores in the <strong>80-90%</strong>.   You will need to complete this entrance test  by <strong>November 18</strong>, <strong>2011.</strong>  Please note that the Learning Assistance Center will be closed for Labor Day on Monday, September 5, 2011.  Therefore, no TEAS testing will take place on that day.</p>
<p>Early Bird testing June1-24<sup>th</sup>, 2011  <strong>Must be in the Learning Assistance Center Monday thru Thursday no later than 12:00PM.  </strong></p>
<p>Testing resumes July 18<sup>th</sup> and ends on November 18<sup>th</sup>.</p>
<p>Early Bird test will be at the 2010 price of $25.00</p>
<p><strong>Effective July 1, 2011 the testing price will increase to $35.00</strong></p>
<p>TEAS book   (limited number available in bookstore and when they are gone they will not be able to reorder) $57.25  (when they are gone the only review option will be the package through ATItesting.com)</p>
<p>TEAS review package (book plus 2 online practice tests) $85 (will be $88 effective July 1) purchase at ATItesting.com</p>
<p> TEAS test $25.00 (<strong>will increase to $35.00 effective July 1</strong>)pay with credit or debit card in Learning Assistance Center</p>
