Frequently Asked Questions

  • I have a Bachelors degree, what do I do next? Please have your transcript sent to Beth Styers at BRCC. Call (453-2252) or e-mail (styersb@brcc.edu) for specific advising. 
  • I took a math other than math 151 is that ok? Usually, as long as it is not MTH 141 or Math 103. Please contact Beth Styers for specific approval.
  • I have English /math from another college now what? Please have your transcript sent to BRCC. Fill out a transcript evaluation request form http://www.brcc.edu/forms/transcript_evaluation_request.pdf and submit it. 
  • Can I obtain my Radiologic Technologist license by taking evening classes? While BRCC courses are available during the evening, once admitted to the RMH portion of the program a student will be required to take RMH classes and clinicals Monday- Friday during the day.
  • Can I work while in the program? There are no restrictions on working while in the program. However, because RMH coursework/clinical range from 7am to 4pm Monday through Friday and the program is rigorous, it may be difficult to hold down a job and achieve required grades while in the program.
  • Do I get paid while at RMH for clinicals? No. However, there are some scholarships available for second year RMH students through several local hospitals.
  • I still need pre-requisites what else should I take? It is suggested that you take courses required to complete an Associates Degree by the end of your second fall semester following acceptance into the RMH program. 
  • I do not need any more pre-requisites, but I have missed the deadline for this year? What should I be taking? It is suggested that you take courses required to be complete an Associates Degree by the end of your second fall semester following acceptance into the RMH program.
