Hit and Run in Parking Lot

On September 20, 2012 while leaving a parking place a student was seen backing her vehicle into the vehicle behind her and drove away. The Campus Security Officer took a report and notified the Augusta County Sherriff’s Office.

Campus Security was called to a classroom on September 20, 2012 to remove and assist a student who appeared impaired. The Campus Security Officer notified the Augusta County Sherriff’s Office. No arrest was made. The student behavior was reviewed using BRCC’s student disciplinary process

Theft at the Coffee Corner

On Monday September 24, 2012, the Coffee Corner employee reported her laptop and book bag were stolen just outside the Coffee Corner. Two male students were seen, on the cameras, removing the laptop from the table. Campus Security Officers detained the two male students until the Augusta County Sherriff’s Officer arrived. No arrests were made. The students’ behavior was reviewed using BRCC’s student disciplinary process

On September 18, 2012 an angry student called Student Services to complain about a perceived unfair treatment. The student services counselor felt threatened. Campus Security Authorities turned the matter over to the Augusta County Sherriff’s Dept.

On August 24, 2012 A staff member voiced concern about a student who appeared preoccupied with a recent public shooting. It was determined not to be a threat. The student’s behavior is being addressed through student disciplinary action.

Computer misuse

On September 11, 2012 administrators at the Augusta help center discovered a computer history that was full of porn web links. It was discovered that a student forgot to log out and a non-student used the computer inappropriately. No further action was taken.

Student Conflict

On August 20, 2012 a student notified the Public Safety Office that he was threatened in the parking lot. After an investigation all parties involved were addressed through the student disciplinary action

Uncategorized – State Inspection Reported Missing

A student reported that the State inspection sticker was missing from the vehicle. The student asserted that the vehicle was locked and no signs of vehicle entry were identified. Student was advised to contact local enforcement agency.

A female student reported feeling uncomfortable around a male team member while working a class project. After interviewing the student, other students, faculty member, and reading text correspondence, no further action was required.
